PTL

YEA! Rocky and I both have finished our autobiography!!!!!This was a challenge to say the least. We still have to type it but that seems so easy after getting it all on paper. This morning at church Rocky spoke to the church some about the long process and the spiritual warfare that we have encountered and we also showed a music video of Travis Cottrell called "GO Tell."

Growing in the Lord

Growing in the Lord is not usually an easy thing, but the freedom in Christ is so worth any and all hurdles! I am being equipped for His service. When I say yes Lord is when the enemy attackes and I always forget who my opponent is until the Holy Spirit reminds. Jesus has already won the battle!!! THANK YOU LORD!!!!

Rattled

Ok I know that I just rattled yesterday. So the hurdle was a certified copy of my birth certificate. No problem it will be here in 4-6 weeks.HA! It is so far from here to New Orleans.
A client brought me her copy of "Shadow of the Almighty" By the Elliots and I am amazed at Jim's total surrender to our Lord. I hope to one day be as sold out as he was.Spirit is willing ,but that old flesh is something else.He wrote while at Wheaton about wanting to get on with the call he felt from God but had to wait till God's time and I as most of us experience that.

Hurdles

As I look at life,I see that we will always have hurdles to overcome which in turn grows and stretches us and prepares us for service to the Lord. When we come to a saving knowledge of Jesus is when our service to the Lord begins. We serve or we are miserable!!!!!Let me always serve as Jesus set the example. I need to be Jesus' Slave to live abuntantly as scripture quotes. You can not just live as a Christian and not serve and expect to be living abuntantly. OK, I do not know where all of theis came but Have a blessed day as a slave.

I have been reading an online book by Avery T. Willis JR. called" Biblical Basis to Missions" It has been good.
I got an email from our daughter in Virginia and it was a delight to here from her and family. They are well just very busy.Looking forward to having them all for Christmas.

It has been along while?

Well it is Monday morning and Rocky just left for work. Mom went home last Thursday so this morning is AAAHHHHH time. Lots have been going on. I will to put it down in chronological order.

Rocky and I have been going through the process with mbi and we are really close to having everything submitted. And then it will be AAAHHHH time! To wait and see if we are invited to conference.

We took a week off the middle of September and went to Louisiana to check on my mom and she came home with us. She ended up in the hospital and it turned out to be her thyroid and she is better and has gone home after a 6 week visit.

Our two beautiful grandchildren came and stayed 5 days with us before they were off to the east with their parents for 8 weeks. I sure did enjoy my time with them but was way toooooo short.Oh by the way our daughter and her husband came along also.I am looking forward to them returning on the 18Th of December! YEA

I spoke with our son and his family is planning to be here for a while with his sister and it will be a blessed time!!! YEA Kevin said the Braden loves school and is reading little sentences now and that Emily is talking really good since she is going to speech therapy. Jenifer has been having something to her jaws to relieve her from migraines.

Rocky and I participated in an Epiphany weekend at TYC and it was a blessing.

Today I will wash windows and clean house and I am looking forward to my day at home alone doing all of this.I better get started. Will hopefully post again soon.

BLUE

Hello, I have not blogged in a long while,so here it is. I am writing in Blue because it seems to fit my mood today! I awoke this morning thinking about how little time I have with our daughter and her family and I have stuggled all day.Sometimes I wonder why Rocky and I have always lived away from our grown children and GRANDCHILDREN! I have no answer but I do know that God is in control!
I am awaiting for Wednesday so that I get to spend a few days with them before they are gone again.Planning on making more memories by playing as much as possible!

Very Blessed

I am being very blessed as we are getting a fun week with Savannah and Caleb. On Thursday Joy and Shannon brought them to my work at noon and they were on there way to Georgia to be commissioned for International Missions so we got the great pleasure of keeping the grandchildren.I have been praying for my Father to help me not to get short with them because it is easy to do when I get too tired. He has really answered me!!!The kiddos and I went to the circus on Thursday evening and we had a great time making a few more precious memories for the years to come.On Friday morning Rocky and the kiddos went to Goldwaithe to sell the rest of the goats and that was a memory made! Friday nite we had movie nite and slept on the sofa. Another memory.Saturday we had a slow easy day and we played Uno several times and that was another.Saturday evening we made homemade pizza and they made their own individual pizzas and they loved that.Another memory!Today we went to church and Sunday school and when it was over Grandpop ask where do we want to go eat and they both said TACO BUENO! Lunch was good. They are taking a nap now But I am about to go wake them so we do not miss too much time together. They have orang pushups for snacks when they get up.will write more later.

Weekend

WOW! I was allowed to serve on an Emmaus team this past weekend and I was blessed.I now have many new to me Sistas in Christ. One of the things that has stuck with me is when "WE ARE BLESSED WHEN WE BLESS!"

I met one of the ladies from the weekend today at lunch and she said that her head was still in the clouds. She also said she would loved to have had this experience 30 or 40 years ago because of all the people she could have impacted in a positive way.You must know that she has been in God's family since 1937.That is a great big WOW!

I loved getting to spend three days surrounded by prayers, faithful women,God's word,JESUS,Holy Spirit.

What a message, Who would have thought that a lamb could recue the souls of men. From a rescued soul I will never cease to praise the Lamb!!!!!You are the one that my heart always hunger for!

Today

Well, I picked up passport applications today! Now I just have to get on with it.
It was a busy but good day at work.I started with a hightlight and then a shampoo and set, and next a man's cut, then another highlight, a little girls cut, and finished with a lady's cut.Oh but I also shampooed and rolled the dreaded hairpiece that I call susie.I left her under the dryer and came home.

weekend

Good weekend! Saturday morning we went to TYC and had reunion with the girls and as always love to visit with God's beautiful Stars! After we went to Prima Pasta for lunch with our Epiphany brothers and sisters and great food and fellowship. Rocky and I rested all afternoon. It felt good.Rocky worked on his Sunday school lesson.
Sunday morning Blueberry Pancakes for the sunday school teacher! Had small class but good lesson and there is a family closeness forming in class. Church service was sweet! Dana brought the message and she did a superb job.It was her last day with us, she is off to Truett Seminary and we will miss her and I know that the youth will. We had communion and there was a sweet sweet spirit there with us. Also we had special guest...Bro.Terry and his family.was great to see them.
After church we ended up at Taco Bueno for lunch and we were so very blessed because one of our sweet girls from TYC was working there and it was good to see her and get to give her a big hug!!!!!You see we do not get to touch the girls except for a handshake.
We took a nap and then Rocky and I worked on appication for missions.and it did not hurt too bad.
We went out to Baptist Encampment to fellowship and have a meal with church family and that was good.
Busy weekend but good.

It has been awhile

The Lord is so good!!! I have been learning to pray more and God is blessing me by giving me a more closer relationship with Himself. On Wednesday Morning he gave me a glimpse of how thrilled He is when we do spend time talking to Him.When I got to work early the phone rang and it was our son calling to ask about keeping the grandkids for a few days. It made my day to get to talk to Kevin first thing in the morning. I was thinking about how it gave me such joy to have him call and it made me think about how God must feel when we neglect spending time calling Him up just to talk to Him.
I am looking forward to getting to spend some time with all of the grandchildren soon. It seems like it has been such a busy few months and I am beginning to feel sorta panicky about one set of grandkids leaving the country and the other ones will be starting to school.
God has a plan and I just have to wait on Him.
I have been busy trying to learn the material that is in a talk for Emmaus Walk that I will be serving on in a few weeks.I also have been preparing a devotion for reunion with the girls at TYC on Saturday and God is moving me out of my comfortable place. The devotion will be about the Word being our spiritual food and without it we will get sick. Also we are preparing for the next Epiphany that will be in October.
Well enough rambling for today.

Thimble

I was trying to sew a beltloop back on a pair of jeans and the fabric is so thick so after trying a few times without success. I then went looking for a thimble and that took me through a few drawers that I had not been in awhile.I began throwing out junk but I came across 2 letters that my sweet daughter Joy had written to me. They were very special because it was in Oct.2005 and that was soon after she and her family arrived in Bangadesh. She had written about her struggles with the language and she said it was as if there was a wall in her brain that she just could not get through.PTL! I started to be sad about her getting ready to leave for that part of the world again ,but God spoke to me about what a privilge it is to have our daughter serving our Lord and Savior. "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news." She does have beautiful feet.

Reality

I have been reading some really powerful books written by Gisela Yohannan. The Lord has been using her writings to open my eyes to just how shallow My walk with Him has been as of late. The question she ask today was "How real are you?"It has given me alot to think on.

Just starting to blog!

This is my first time to blog so I am just messing around today.
