Rest

Oh Boy it is Saturday and we are getting much needed rest. Small things getting done and that is ok. North wind is blowing very hard and fast today so we are staying in the house with cozy fire in the wood stove. I baked brownies and sugar cookies for a fundraiser meal at church tomorrow. We will be raising funds for materials for Mexico trip this summer.

Rocky and I have sent in the last bit of medical and now we just wait to hear from IMB about a job match. I just looked at a date and we heard back from IBM after first contact was July 9,2008 so I guess we are doing good time wise.

I was at Krogger this week and discovered Blue Bell icecream with NO SUGAR ADDED so we have had some very special snacks.

Medical

Rocky is going by the Dr.'s office today to pick up the last 2 lab reports and we will fax them tonite to THA and then maybe we will receive medical clearance and a job match in the near future. At that time we should be able to move forward into the next step.

This and That

This afternoon Rocky and I went to the closing ceremonies for Epiphany. It was the best turn out of community that we have ever had and that was a blessing. It had been a really good weekend and the girls GOT IT!

Also got a touch of how hard it will be to say good bye to our Epiphany family. We have spent alot of time with them for the last 6 years so they are very special to us. Lots of weekends for reunions or team meetings or for actual Epiphany weekends.

The fourth day speaker was grand. Lonnie Love has many sayings but one that really sticks with me is "Too blessed to be stressed."

I kept having eye contact with one of the stars and I am going to see about mentoring her.It has been awhile since I have mentored a youth. It is time.

Epiphany

It is an Epiphany weekend taking place this weekend at RJSJCC and it is quite different to not be serving on the team, but I feel totally at peace. I stopped by after work yesterday and they have a large team so that is good.Rocky and I plan to go by after lunch to be there for the birthday party which is a beautiful time for the young ladies. We are going to announce closing at church tomorrow morning and we hope to have a group from our church attend closing.

es la primavera / it's spring

Today is the first day of spring and with the rain we were so blessed with last week everything is turning green.

TGIF

YEA! It is Friday! Rocky and I went to El Jimmador for supper and it was good and I did not have to cook or wash the dishes. After on the way out the door I noticed a poster advertising the circus and it made me think about when Savannah,Caleb and I went to the circus here in Brownwood and had a great time. I look forward to the next time we get to do that.

Today I had a colonoscopy and was very blessed to get that behind me. It was not too bad. I was blessed to Have my sweet husband and Our Pastor and A bro. from church to intertain me while I waited a good long time. I think they may have gotten close to being evicted a time or two. They were sent to the waiting area with strick words to be good. HA!

It was such a beautiful day and after the gift of rain everthing is turning green. I put out the humming bird feeder on Saturday and saw the first birdie today.Still waiting for the scissortail to show up so maybe it will not freeze again. The mesquite tress are leafing out ,but have seen them fooled in the past.

It is back to work tomorrow.

I will be cooking the meal at church tomorrow evening but it will be pretty easy.We have left over sloppy-jos so I just need to get buns and salad things. Other volunteers are doing deserts. They are a blessing.

People that get on your nerves!

This week I had a client that is not tooo easy to deal with and also I would call a taker. When I went to bed that night I kept waking up and thinking about the client and I had decided before morning that I would just call her and say that I just could not be her stylist. BUT, when I got up that morning and was looking at my sunday school lesson, I was to first read Matthew 5-7 and as I began to read in chapter 5 it was revealed to me that I just serve those in my path and leave all the rest to my Father. My plan is to serve with a grateful heart. Thank you Jesus for not ringing me up and dismissing me when I am not easy to deal with!!!!!!Gracias Dios

Language

Hola!
Well We are getting a head start on the spanish language and I am real sure that I need a lot of help with a head start.

We stopped at Walmart after church today and Rocky got me a MP3 player and he is putting language study on it for me.So do not think that I am ignoring you I just have BUGS in my ears.HEHE!

Hasta luego

Yea,I know it has been along while

We are still waiting for medical clearance, but hope to have that by the end of March. We did receive a letter stating that it was not official but we have been approved pending medical clearance. So we are encouraged.

This week during Esther bible study we are going to celebrate the Feast Of Purim. I am not sure what all that intails but I am looking forward to it.

We had a wonderful time at TYC yesterday with the girls. The devotion was on "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity or what ever it is that holds you back from all that God has for you." It was good!

I do not remember if I ever wrote about our trip to Arlington to our pastors wedding and Us being called the carvan from Brownwood. We were a good looking crowd.
