Another Beautiful Thing in Texas

Leaving work on Friday and arriving here!

Great Saturday

We were blessed to get to spend some time today with a couple that is so very dear to us. We got to go up to Cleburne and visit with Brad and Minnett. They served us the best meal of burgers with the fixin's and fresh fruit. We will miss this precious couple very much, but have hopes of them visiting us in Ecaudor.

Special

Today I gave a pedicure to one of my clients who just happens to be 91 years young and she is so sharp and still drives. And we had the sweetest time talking about how gracious our Lord is.

She told me that her daughter-in-law just got back from New Deli where she has been teaching English in a school. She is teaching the students to put the words they already know into sentences.

I am so very blessed to have sweet christian ladies to visit and share with while I am at work each day.

Weekend

Rocky and I had our 35 aniversary this week so on Saturday we went to Abilene to eat and we also did some shopping. Rocky found himself a pair of shoes and 2 shirts. I found myself 3 tops and that was good. We also looked at lap tops at Best Buy.

Today we spoke at Bangs FBC and got alot of prayer support. It was good to see everyone. We went to lunch at Happy China in Early with Brother Lee and Cindy and their son Stephen and the food was wonderful.

We also got 9/10 of rain today!!!YEA! We went to church tonite and we got a surprise! There were no services tonite, but we got to see the most beautiful and perfect rainbow that we would not have seen if we did not head to town. We had to get gas in the car so I just thought of the trip as a sweet gesture from Rocky to fill up the car for me in Brownwood.

Confidence

Ps 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills —
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip —
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you —
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm —
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I was listening to a song as I walked at the park last week and the song was this passage set to lovely music. What awesome confidence we can have in Our Father!

Mayfest

We had a good day today. We had a garage sale in Bangs on the high school parking lot and it went very good, but we got rained on pretty good and loaded the last of our stuff back on the trailer and called it a day about noon. We did not have to bring home too much. We took a nap and then went back to Bangs to Mayfest and visited with friends and went to the TYC booth and fellowship with them a until they closed and we helped them take down and load up. It was a good day. But it was very chilly after the cool front and rain hit. We are hearing that the weather in Ecuador is going to be like this so I will be taking lots of cuddle duds and sweaters.
